Barack Obama Biographical Sketch
English
One of the main points that people opposing Obama refer to is his lack of experience in politics compared to John McCain. The biggest title that he has had in government was that he is the senator for Illinois. He first ran for state senator in 1996 and was elected and then ran again in 2003 and was re-elected for office. In 2004 Barack Obama was invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in support of John Kerry. Obama spoke about the importance of unity, and made indirect jab at the Bush Administration, and the diversionary use of wedge issues. John Kerry lost to George Bush in 2004.
Barack Obama has, in the past and present, worked with people that are less fortunate than him; such as single mothers, families with a lower income, and was a lawyer for Civil Rights. Obama was brought up in a home with only a mother, so he knows the trials and tribulations that come with low income and only having one parent to provide for and protect you. In 1985 Obama moved to Chicago and there he worked as a community organizer with lower income residents in Chicago’s Roseland community and he also worked with the Altgeld Gardens public housing development in the cities south side. He entered Harvard Law School in 1988 and after he graduated from Harvard he became a Civil Rights lawyer and returned to Chicago. While in elementary school Barack went to a private academy and was one of the three black students in the whole school. This is when Obama first became aware of the racism and what it meant to be black.

I really like your topic sentence again. I like how you kind of compare John McCain and Barack Obama with how they are. I also like how you talk about his childhood and it goes in sequence. You also gave supporting details which are really good.
from reading your blog i feel that you really focused more on Baracks lack of experience and his career. your topic sentence was ok i think it could have been a little better. your blog kept me wondering more about his childhood. you did a very good job!!
while I read your post, I noticed that the major point that you stressed were the many places that Obama has worked in his life time. one of the many things that learned from your post about Obama, was that he has worked and helped many people that are less fortunate than him.
Was there a program that Obama was in that allowed him to work with the less fortunate?
Your topic sentence did not cover your entire paragraph, it was merely an analysis of something broader.
Great job! Try to have less of an opinion when describing him.
