John McCain Biographical Sketch
English
John McCain's experience in politics and strong belief system will help lead the way to change in the USA. John McCain shows how dedicated and loyal he is to his country in many ways, but one of them stands out from the rest. McCain’s father and grandfather were both four star admirals, and his father commanded all of the pacific United States Naval forces. During the Vietnamese War, McCain began flying carrier-based attack plans with low-altitude bombing runs on North Vietnam. In October on McCain’s 23rd air mission his plane was shot down during a bombing on Hanoi, the North Vietnamese capital. He broke both arms and one leg from the crash. McCain was taken to a prison called Hao Loa in Hanoi on December 9, 1969. While in the prison McCain was beaten, tortured and for three and a half of the five and a half of the years he was kept in solitary confinement. Shortly after being placed in the prison, the people who captured him soon found out that his father was the high-ranking officer in the U.S. Navy and offered many times to release him. McCain did not accept the offer because he did not want to break the military code and because he knew that North Vietnam would use his release as a powerful piece of propaganda. When John McCain arrived in the U.S. he received the awards of: the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. John went through nine painful months of rehabilitation to join the once again but soon found out that his recent injuries had impaired his ability be a part of or advance in the Navy. McCain shows that same loyalty now by publicly supporting the Iraq War, and frequently criticizes the Pentagon about low troop strength. McCain shows that he is strong and brave by the things that he has done in the past and by the things that he does now. John McCain frequently shows that he is right for the Presidency by doing what is right for the country even if it is not what is appealing to the public eye.
Unlike Barack Obama, John McCain has the experience it takes to be President. In the past John has worked in public relations which first introduced him to politics, was elected to be in the House of Representatives in 1982 and then was re-elected shortly after in 1984. He has won re-election to the senate three times, and emerged in 2000 as a solid challenger in the election against our current President, George Bush. His reputation as a maverick politician with firm beliefs has only increased, he has worked attentively in support of tobacco legislation and in the reform of the campaign finance system, acknowledging more liberal views proving that he is more than just a headstrong conservative.
McCain has lived a very fulfilling life and by his experience in politics and the government, loyalty to this country, strong unshakable beliefs, and many others John McCain proves to be the smart and sensible choice to be the President of the United States.

Sarah Palin Biographical Sketch
English
Sarah Palin made history on December 2, 2006 when she became the first woman to ever become governor in the state of Alaska. Since being elected Alaska has invested five billion dollars in saving, implemented the Senior Benefits Program to provide support for older low-income Alaskans, and overhauled education funding. She also created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Offices to supervise and uphold oil and gas equipment. Also facilities and infrastructure, and the Climate Change Subcabinet meant to develop a climate change plan for Alaska. Since elected into office Sarah top priorities have been ethics reform, energy development, education and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure development, and public health and safety. Obviously you can see Sarah Palin’s great decision making and leadership skills by these examples. Here are some examples of her ability to save Alaska, and soon to be the U.S., through wise economic decision. When gas and oil prices rose severely which made the state revenues rice, Governor Palin sent large portions of those proceeds back to the people of Alaska, and also eliminated the states fuel tax. When asked by congress about, what she calls, the “Bridge to Nowhere” she said “Thanks but No Thanks” to wastefully spending nearly half a billion dollars. She also took some sensible actions to deduct the cost and size of her office by selling the states luxury jet, and by getting rid of the personal chef and personal driver.
Sarah Palin’s experience other than Alaska’s governor is that she served two terms on the Wasilla City Council. During her two terms she lowered property tax levels while increasing services and turned Wasilla into a business friendly community, which drew in new industry. She also stopped wasteful spending and always put the people first. She also served as chair ad ethics commissioner of the Alaskan Conservation Commission, which controls Alaska’s most valuable resources: gas and oil.

Barack Obama Biographical Sketch

One of the main points that people opposing Obama refer to is his lack of experience in politics compared to John McCain. The biggest title that he has had in government was that he is the senator for Illinois. He first ran for state senator in 1996 and was elected and then ran again in 2003 and was re-elected for office. In 2004 Barack Obama was invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in support of John Kerry. Obama spoke about the importance of unity, and made indirect jab at the Bush Administration, and the diversionary use of wedge issues. John Kerry lost to George Bush in 2004.
Barack Obama has, in the past and present, worked with people that are less fortunate than him; such as single mothers, families with a lower income, and was a lawyer for Civil Rights. Obama was brought up in a home with only a mother, so he knows the trials and tribulations that come with low income and only having one parent to provide for and protect you. In 1985 Obama moved to Chicago and there he worked as a community organizer with lower income residents in Chicago’s Roseland community and he also worked with the Altgeld Gardens public housing development in the cities south side. He entered Harvard Law School in 1988 and after he graduated from Harvard he became a Civil Rights lawyer and returned to Chicago. While in elementary school Barack went to a private academy and was one of the three black students in the whole school. This is when Obama first became aware of the racism and what it meant to be black.

Joe Biden Biographical Sketch
English
Before Joe Biden was announced as the Vice President pick for the Democratic Party, everyone doubted Obama’s lack of experience. Once he picked Biden everyone seemed to think of them as equal to the Republican Party, experience wise. Some of Biden’s past political experience is 1) after graduating from law school Biden quickly became interested in politics and started serving on the New Castle county castle in 1970 for two years. 2) He was elected into the senate in 1972 at the age of twenty nine and became the fifth youngest senator in history. 3) Since 1972 Biden has served over three decades in the senate.
Through Joe Biden’s life he has had two great tragedies that I am sure still affects him today. The biggest one is the death of his wife and infant daughter as a result to a car accident; his two sons were severely injured but eventually recovered. Joe and his wife Neilia Hunter got married in 1966 and while she was on her death bed Joe Biden was at her side when he was sworn into office in January of 1973. Another serious event took place in February of 1988 when Biden was immediately struck down and almost died because of two brain aneurysms. You can definitely see Biden’s faithfulness to his job because just seven months later he was back to work.

Barack Obama's Mission Statement
I will take money from the hardworking
And give it to the slakers
I will kill inoccent children
I will surrender in the War in Iraq so that we can be taken over by them
I will create higher gas prices because of my choice of no offline drilling
I will not support Isreal over Palistien, even though they are Gods chosen people
I will change the traditions of marriage from a celebration between man and woman to a celebration between men and men and women and women.
I WILL ATTEMPT TO IMPROVE THIS COUNTRY
BUT WILL MOST LIKELY FAIL!
And give it to the slakers
I will kill inoccent children

Reflection on Election Collages
Democratic Party:
For my Democratic Party collage I thought that I would not only add some of their stances, but some of my views on those stances. On my collage I have many things written, but one of them is my "pro-choice". As you may notice I have that written in font that seems as if it is dripping with blood or liquid. I thought that would be perfect font for a stance that will kill millions of innoccent babies a year. Also on my collage I have "no experience" written on it. Yes he may have had less than 150 days as a senator, but that is definately not enough to run an entire country. I have many other words, or sentence fragments written on there that show not only his stance, but my opinion. On my collage, I believe that the words represent the party more than the pictures. All of the photographs on my collage are of Obama, his family, and his running mate.
Republican Party:
My Republican Party collage represents a lot about John McCain. It not only represents his life and family, but also his beliefs, and stances. Some of the words on my collage are very important topics to me. One of them is Isreal. John McCain is "Proudly Pro-Isreal" and Barack Obama has explained himself as if he would rather help Pakistan than Isreal. Another important topic is that John McCain is Pro-Life and Barack Obama is Pro-Choice. Which means that Barack Obama is giving many young mothers the "choice" to kill a innoccent baby rather than choose to keep its life and put in a foster, or permanante home. One of the pictures on my collage is a sign that says "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" that was being held up at a John McCain rally. John McCain fully supports our troops, as on the other hand, Barack Obama acts as if he does not support them at all. If I had the chance to vote, these three topics would effect my decision greatly, do they effect yours?

Importance of 3 Science Issues
GLOBAL WARMING/ENVIROMENT:
I believe that the importance of dealing with the enviroment and global warming is a very big thing. The results of not addressing these issues can be so drastic, as to destroying the planet. Personally I believe that it is just one of earths cycles, exactly like the ice age, instead this time the tempurature is increasing, not going down. Of course all of the pollution and the green house gases arn't slowing it down one bit. But one piece of trash on the ground will cause harm, but it doesn't have hardly anything to do with global warming. I believe that if we decrease the pollution and harmful gases then that might give us more time, but it will not stop it. Even thought it will only slow down the process I still think that it is very important to take care of our enviroment and not to litter, because you never know if a poor little turtle will eat your piece of trash and start choking on it and die. All because of you.
NUCLEAR WEAPONS:
Nuclear Weapons are definately a huge deal, expecially in this day in age. With all of the nuclear weapons being produced by the United States enemies, I cant see how people dont think that it is that important. It seems like now all that people are worried about is what is happening to their money and where will it be going, and no one is worrying about one of the most important issues facing the U.S.. That is why nuclear weapons and other topics are being pushed to the back burner, because it doesn't have anything to do with your money, but if some crazy terrorist was to come and blow your bank with all of your money, then that might have a big impact on you. Even though I am sure that if a terrorist was to come to blow up things, the first thing on his mind probably wouldnt be your bank, but instead you. And that would definatley have a big effect on you.
OFFSHORE DRILLING:
I believe that offshore drilling is a very talked about subject, and most of the time, people know what they are talking about. The importance of this subject is if there was no more gas left and no alternative fuel, America wouldn't last one week. Having gas to fill our cars and heat our house is a very important issue. And also it can make a big difference between 2.50 a gallon and 4.50 a gallon when you have to fill up a large, gass gussling vehicle.

Postive and Negative Impacts
GLOBAL WARMING/ENVIROMENT:
A positive impact is that if we find was to delay global warming as much as possible or discover ways to be able to survive through a harsh weather cycle, then we would all stay alive.
A negative impact would be no one does any thing to prevent it and the end of the world comes and the sun gets about 2 inches away from the earth, and every one on earth dies.
NUCLEAR WEAPONS:
A positive impact of nuclear weapons would be if we could get everyone to control there nuclear weapon stock and to keep track of every single one of them, then we wouldnt have to deal with people being able to just use a nuclear bomb whenever they please because every one isn't properly controlled and accounted for. Also if we were to have a war we could just nuke the entire world(except isreal/jeruselam/judea...) and not have to deal with other countries ever again.
A negative is that if every single nuclear bomb isnt accounted for some crazed terrorist could come and nuke the whole world, and we would be dead.
OFFSHORE DRILLING:
Some of the positive impacts would be people going to the gas station and being able to get gas for 2.00 or less for one gallon because we have 10 times more gas now. Also with offshore drilling it would be coming from the United States and not from the Middle East so we would probably get it even cheaper than 2.00.
A negative impact would be going to the pump and having to pay 4 or 5 dollars a gallon. This would eventually cause people to not drive/buy cars as much, which would cause car dealerships to go out of business, which would cause people to loose jobs and become poor, and so on and so forth.
